Consulting
Due to my other jobs, I am available only on a limited basis in the Puget Sound region for the following consultation services:
- Plant Identification
- Plant Diagnosis and suggested “least-toxic” remedies.
- Native Plant selection for the landscape: “Right Plant-Right Place!”
- Basic gardening and landscaping techniques.
Fees:
- For an on-site consultation: $75 minimum for the first hour + $25 for each additional 30 minutes; also a 50 cent/mile travel fee for locations outside the Gig Harbor area. An additional $100 fee, if you want a sketched landscape plan.
- For photo plant ID/diagnosis through email: $25. Note: Photo quality and timing are extremely important! Photos of flowers and/or fruit are helpful, often necessary. Please be aware that some plants are harder to identify than others. Sometimes a photo is not enough, and seeing a physical sample, or an on-site visit may be necessary.
Hi Dana, I would like to have you consult with me at my American Lake property in Lakewood. I have several terraces which face south, full wind exposureand an overhead canopy of Quercus garryana. I do have irrigation. I have been planting natives, but would like some ideas on better buffering and plant interest. As I had contacted you to speak to the Tacoma Garden Club in March 2015 this is also an excellent opportunity to get to know you.
As I am retired, I am generally available as this is my gardening season. I look forward to scheduling a consult with you.
