I am in the Puget Sound Area of Washington. Western Washington is my area of expertise. I do a few talks a year for garden clubs and other organizations in areas around Tacoma.

Interested in natives, I just came upon your website. It’s so interesting, thanks. I live 1/2 the year (May-Oct.) in the Umpqua Valley & other half in San Diego.

I’m a member of a garden club in san diego & am wondering if you have any expertise in so cal natives/gardens. If so, might speaking in SD be of interest to you.

If you end up doing this tour, can you please let me know so that I can promote it to the WSU Kitsap Master Gardener group?
Thank you!
Colleen

I had been thinking about this, but have had to kick it into high gear since I just heard about a grant funding source that would pay for room rental, advertising, a little token native plant for attendees, and a speaker’s fee for you. The grant application is due this Friday. Yikes! Anyway, we are thinking of having it on a Saturday morning in December at the Harbor History Museum in Gig Harbor (the grant is watershed specific), and having a power point presentation followed with a short plant walk in the native planting area behind the museum. What do you think? Would you be interested/available?

If we do not receive the grant, I am still trying to hold the class if I can use some funding from our plant sale budget.
Thanks-
Rene’
